Led by the overall play of WW graduate, Zack Lawrence, the Orange and Black posted a road win over Smithfield, 10-5.

Lawrence, who caught, pitched and played third base, collected three hits, (two doubles), drove in two runs and scored twice.

Tim Dean earned the win by striking out six batters and allowing just two hits in 4 1/3 innings.

WWCM, who had twelve hits, were led by Lawrence, Anthony Burt (2/2, 2 walks and two runs), Dylan Provoyeur (2/4, one run and one rbi), Mason Hunt (2/3, one rbi triple and one run), Leyton Belanger (rbi double), Welmer Montilla-Cruz (1/2, 2 walks and one rbi) and Tim Dean (1/4, one run and one rbi).

Tucker Byrnes, Josh Turner, Dylan Cordeiro, and Gio Quattrini each had one hit for P-K Landscaping.

Led by the solid pitching of Will Andrews, Slocum Baseball edged Woonsocket, 3-2.

Andrews, who threw 61 of 97 pitches for strikes, struck out nine batters and allowed two runs on three hits in pitching a complete game.

Tied at 2-2 in the top of the fifth inning, Andrews received a two-out walk and later scored on a single by Will Creed to put the North Kingstown based team up 3-2.

In addition to Creed (2/2, one rbi), Slocum received hits from
Rocco Coseglia (1/3, one rbi), Hunter Hornstein (1/3, one run) and Tim McGee (1/3).

In Rhode Island Connie Mack play, Flood Ford (7-3) came from behind to defeat West Warwick (6-3-1), 6-3.

In the game, which benefited batters and bewildered pitchers, 25 walks were issued. In fact, the two teams combined to throw 289 pitches.

Trailing 3-0 after five innings, Flood rallied for six runs over the last two innings. Drew McCaffrey had a two-run double with two outs to pull within in one run, 3-2, in the sixth.

In the top of the seventh inning, Dylan Poloski singled to tie the game at 3-3. Later in the inning, Yadier Blanco had a two-run single and Drew McCaffrey received a bases loaded walk for a 6-3 lead.

Cam Daley, who was making his first appearance of the season, stranded five West Warwick runners in two scoreless innings of relief to earn the victory.

West Warwick received hits from Zack Lawrence (2/4, one RBI), Nick Andruchow (1/3, one run scored) and Leyton Belanger (1/3). In addition, Anthony Burt had two runs and walked twice.

The Coventry Connie Mack team swept a doubleheader against Scituate to improve their record to 5-6.

In game one, Coventry, who stole eleven bases, received hits from Kole Kilduff (2/2, two RBI’s ), Griffin Frenze ( 1/2, two runs and 1 RBI), Kori Koczwanski (2/2, one double and three runs) and Logan Lama (1/2, one run and one rbi double) in an 8-3 win.

Aiden Riley picked up the victory by allowing just three runs on two hits in five innings.

In game two, Aidan Daly, Logan Lama and Griffin Frenze combined on a one-hitter in a 2-1 win. The trio struck out ten batters.

Led by solid pitching and timely hitting, West Warwick (6-2-1) came from behind to edge Warwick PAL, 5-3.

Logan Dean, who allowed just three earned runs, struck out six batters in four innings of work. Hunt, who earned the win, pitched two innings of one hit relief. Anthony Burt, who struck out three batters in the seventh inning, picked up the save.

Warwick’s Jack Colvin, who struck out six batters, allowed only two earned runs in five innings of work.

In addition to Lawrence and Hunt, WW received support from Josh Pedus (1/3, two runs), Burt (1/3, one double) and Logan Dean (1/3, two rbi’s).

Austin Wheeler and Chris Reid each had two hits for Warwick PAL.
