Backed by a strong defense and a twelve-hit attack, Warwick PAL advanced to the Loser’s Bracket Final with an 11-1 victory over the LaSalle Rams.

Shane Moro, who picked up the victory, struck out four batters and allowed just one run on three hits.

Jack Cirelli led the Warwick offense with one double, two triples and four rbi’s.

In addition to Cirelli, PAL received hits from Jack Colvin (2/3, two runs and one rbi), Sam Shelton (3/4, one run and two rbi’s), Dylan Perreault (one three-run triple), Caden Landy (1/2, one run and one rbi), Shane Moro (1/3, two runs and one rbi) and Austin Wheeler (1/4, one run).

Led by the prolific pitching of Josh Pedus (pictured), West Warwick defeated the LaSalle Rams, 13-1, in their opening game of the Rhode Island Connie Mack State Tournament.

Pedus, who allowed just one run on one hit, struck out ten batters in six innings.

Offensively, West Warwick, which had ten hits and received nine free passes, received hits from Nick Andruchow (3/4, three stolen bases, two runs and one rbi), Leyton Belanger (2/3, two stolen bases, two runs, two walks and three rbi’s), Logan Dean (2/4, one double, two runs and three rbi’s), Josh Pedus (1/3, one triple, one run and four rbi’s), Dylan Provoyeur (1/3, one run), Luke Gallo (1/2, two runs) and Tim Dean (two walks and four runs scored).

Led by the one-hit pitching of Ben Piccone (pictured), Flood Ford defeated Warwick PAL, 5-0, in the opening game of the Rhode Island Connie Mack State Tournament.

Piccone, who threw 81 pitches in seven innings of work, struck out seven batters and walked only two.

Flood Ford received two hits each from Ryan Santo (2/4, three runs), Cam Daley (2/4, two rbis’s) and Yadier Blanco (2/4, two runs).

Jack Colvin, who struck out seven batters in five innings, gave up just three earned runs.

Led by the hitting of catcher Nick Andruchow (3/4, three doubles and five rbi’s), West Warwick beat Woonsocket, 10-6, and advanced to the Rhode Island Connie Mack Final Four for the fourth consecutive year.

Logan Dean, who struck out six batters in four innings of work, picked up his fourth win of the summer.

Offensively, WWCM received hits from Andruchow, Anthony Burt (2/4, one run and one rbi), Dylan Provoyeur (1/1, one run), Michael Gallo (1/1, one run), Josh Pedus (1/4, one run). Zack Lawrence, Caden Denton, Leyton Belanger and Welmer Montilla- Cruz each drove in a run.

For Woonsocket, Noah Levreault (three rbi’s) and Julian DeJesus (3/4, one double, two runs and one rbi).
